Warranty Terms
Apexx Engines
Effective Date: 24/05/2026
This page explains how warranty cover works for work undertaken directly by Apexx Engines, work arranged through suppliers, and any third-party extended warranty products.
Apexx Engines aims to provide clear, fair and practical warranty information to every customer before work is accepted or payment is made. This warranty page explains what is covered by Apexx Engines directly, what is covered by external suppliers, and what may be covered by independent third-party warranty providers.
Please read these terms carefully. Warranty cover depends on the type of work carried out, who carried out the work, the parts used, the condition of the vehicle, and whether the required inspection and servicing conditions have been followed.
Important: Apexx Engines’ own warranty only applies to eligible work undertaken directly by Apexx Engines. Where work, parts, services, recovery, machining or repairs are provided by an external supplier, partner or warranty provider, Apexx Engines acts as an agent or introducer. The relevant supplier or third-party provider’s own warranty terms will apply.
1. Who Provides the Warranty?
Warranty responsibility depends on who provides the work, part, service or warranty product. Apexx Engines may carry out work directly, or we may arrange work through trusted independent suppliers and specialist partners.
| Type of Warranty | Provided By | Applies To | Important Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Apexx Engines Standard Warranty | Apexx Engines | Eligible work carried out directly by Apexx Engines. | Subject to the terms, exclusions and inspection requirements on this page. |
| Supplier or Partner Warranty | The relevant supplier, repairer or partner | Work, parts, recovery, machining or specialist services arranged externally. | Apexx Engines may assist with communication, but the supplier’s own terms apply. |
| Extended Warranty | Third-party warranty provider | Extended warranty products, usually 6 months or more. | Terms, limits, exclusions and claims are controlled by the warranty provider. |
Any warranty period of 6 months or more should be treated as a third-party extended warranty unless Apexx Engines confirms otherwise in writing.
2. Apexx Engines Standard Warranty
Apexx Engines’ standard warranty applies only to eligible work undertaken directly by Apexx Engines. This may include workmanship and new parts supplied directly by Apexx Engines as part of the agreed repair.
The exact warranty duration, mileage limit and conditions may vary depending on the vehicle, mileage, age, condition, type of repair and the scope of work agreed.
| Vehicle / Job Type | Typical Warranty Position | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Eligible work carried out directly by Apexx Engines | Apexx Engines standard warranty may apply | Subject to inspection, service conditions and exclusions. |
| Older or higher-mileage vehicles | Reduced or limited warranty may apply | Vehicle age, mileage and existing condition may affect cover. |
| Supplier-led work or externally arranged services | Supplier warranty applies | Apexx Engines is not the warranty provider for supplier-led work. |
| Extended cover of 6 months or more | Third-party extended warranty | Provider terms and claim process apply. |
3. Supplier, Partner and Agent Work
In some cases, Apexx Engines may arrange work, parts, diagnostics, recovery, machining, repair services or specialist services through independent suppliers or partners.
Where a supplier, partner or external provider carries out the work or supplies the part, Apexx Engines acts as an agent, introducer or coordinator. The warranty for that work is provided by the supplier or provider, not by Apexx Engines.
- Supplier warranty terms may differ from Apexx Engines’ own warranty terms.
- Supplier warranty duration, claim limits and exclusions are set by the supplier.
- Apexx Engines may assist with communication where possible, but we do not control the supplier’s warranty decision.
- Supplier terms will be communicated or made available before you accept the job or make payment.
Please note: Apexx Engines is not responsible for providing warranty cover on behalf of independent suppliers, repair partners, recovery providers, machining providers or third-party warranty companies.
4. Extended Warranty Products
Apexx Engines may introduce customers to third-party extended warranty products. These products are separate from Apexx Engines’ own standard warranty and are provided by independent warranty providers.
Extended warranties may offer longer cover, but they may also include different conditions, claim limits, exclusions, inspection requirements and servicing rules.
- Any warranty of 6 months or more is provided by a third-party warranty provider unless Apexx Engines confirms otherwise in writing.
- The warranty provider is responsible for administering the warranty and deciding whether a claim is accepted.
- Apexx Engines may help provide job details or supporting information where appropriate.
- Apexx Engines is not responsible for the warranty provider’s terms, exclusions, claim limits or claim decisions.
5. What Apexx Engines Warranty May Cover
Where Apexx Engines’ own warranty applies, cover may include eligible faults relating directly to the agreed work carried out by Apexx Engines.
- Defects in workmanship relating to the agreed repair.
- Eligible faults with new parts supplied directly by Apexx Engines.
- Specific components listed on the final invoice, job sheet or written agreement.
- Internal engine components directly associated with the agreed repair, where included in the original scope of work.
The warranty does not automatically cover the full vehicle. It only relates to the specific work and eligible components included in the original repair.
6. Warranty Activation
Unless stated otherwise in writing, warranty cover starts from the date of the final invoice and from the mileage recorded at the time of completion.
- The warranty starts from the date of the final invoice, not necessarily the date of collection or payment.
- The mileage recorded on the final invoice, job sheet or handover record will be used as the starting mileage.
- The warranty applies only to the original customer named on the invoice.
- The warranty is non-transferable and cannot be passed to a new owner or third party.
7. Inspection and Servicing Requirements
To keep warranty cover valid, the vehicle may need to return for inspection and servicing after the work is completed. These checks help confirm that the repair is operating correctly and that no external issue is affecting the work.
- The vehicle may need to return for an initial inspection within 300–500 miles or 2 weeks, whichever comes first.
- An additional inspection or interim service may be required after approximately 1,000 miles.
- The customer must keep records of servicing, maintenance, oil changes and related work.
- Failure to attend required inspections or maintain the vehicle correctly may affect or void warranty cover.
8. Warranty Exclusions
Warranty cover will not apply where the fault is caused by issues outside the scope of the original repair. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Third-party work carried out after the repair without prior written approval from Apexx Engines.
- Parts supplied by the customer, second-hand parts, used parts, reconditioned parts or aftermarket performance parts unless specifically agreed in writing.
- Overheating, oil starvation, coolant loss, contamination, blocked oilways, poor maintenance or continued driving after a warning light appears.
- Electrical faults, wiring faults, ECU faults, sensor faults, dashboard warning lights, DPF issues, ABS, airbag or unrelated electronic issues.
- External engine components not included in the original repair, such as turbochargers, injectors, diesel pumps, water pumps, ancillaries, sensors or timing components unless specifically listed on the invoice.
- Normal wear and tear, routine servicing, maintenance items, consumables, fluids, filters, belts or components that have reached the end of their service life.
- Misuse, neglect, accident damage, racing, competition use, off-road use, excessive towing, overloading or unauthorised modifications.
- False, incomplete or misleading information provided before, during or after the repair.
- Consequential losses, loss of earnings, hire vehicles, storage charges, recovery charges, third-party labour charges or inconvenience costs.
9. Making a Warranty Claim
If you believe there is a warranty issue, you should stop using the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so and contact Apexx Engines before authorising any third-party work.
To make a claim, please provide:
- Your full name and contact details.
- Your vehicle registration.
- Your invoice number or job reference.
- The current vehicle mileage.
- A clear description of the fault or concern.
- Photos, videos, diagnostic reports or supporting documents where available.
Do not dismantle, repair, replace parts or authorise another garage to investigate the issue before Apexx Engines or the relevant warranty provider has had the opportunity to review the claim.
Important: If an engine, component or vehicle is dismantled, removed or repaired by a third party without prior approval, Apexx Engines is not responsible for removal costs, refitting costs, third-party labour charges or associated losses.
10. Claim Limits
Where a valid Apexx Engines warranty claim is accepted, our liability is limited to the value of the original invoice for the specific work carried out directly by Apexx Engines.
- Claims are limited to the repair or component directly connected to the agreed work.
- Apexx Engines may choose to inspect, repair, replace or contribute towards the affected work, depending on the circumstances.
- Labour, recovery, hire vehicles, consequential losses and third-party costs are not covered unless agreed in writing.
- Third-party warranty claims are subject to the claim limits and claim process of the warranty provider.
11. Frequently Asked Questions
11.1 Does Apexx Engines warranty all work arranged through the business?
No. Apexx Engines’ own warranty only applies to eligible work carried out directly by Apexx Engines. If work, parts or services are provided by an external supplier or partner, that supplier’s own warranty terms apply.
11.2 Are longer warranties provided by Apexx Engines?
Unless Apexx Engines confirms otherwise in writing, any warranty period of 6 months or more is provided by a third-party warranty provider. These extended warranty products have their own terms, exclusions and claim procedures.
11.3 Can I take the vehicle elsewhere if I think there is a warranty issue?
You should contact Apexx Engines first. If third-party work is carried out before Apexx Engines or the relevant warranty provider has inspected the issue, this may affect or void the warranty claim.
11.4 Does the warranty cover the whole vehicle?
No. Warranty cover only relates to the specific work and eligible components included in the original repair. It does not cover unrelated faults, electrical issues, wear and tear, maintenance items or components not included in the repair.
11.5 Is the warranty transferable?
No. Apexx Engines warranty cover is non-transferable and applies only to the customer named on the original invoice.
