Terms & Conditions
Apexx Engines
Effective Date: 27 February 2026
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the Apexx Engines website or submitting a quote request. By using our services you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Who We Are
Apexx Engines (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates as a disclosed agent and introducer. We are not a garage, engine reconditioning workshop, or parts retailer. Our role is to receive your job enquiry, assess the requirement, and introduce you to one or more vetted specialist suppliers within our network who are best placed to carry out the work.
When you submit a quote request through Apexx Engines, you are authorising us to act as your agent in sourcing suitable quotes from our supplier network. We will share the details you provide with relevant suppliers for this purpose.
The contract for any mechanical work, parts supply, or engine reconditioning is formed directly between you and the supplier who accepts your job. Apexx Engines is not a party to that contract.
2. Our Services
Apexx Engines provides the following:
- Job matching — we receive your enquiry and match it to suitable suppliers in our vetted network based on your vehicle, location, and service required.
- Quote management — we present quotes received from suppliers for your review and approval.
- Communication facilitation — we manage communications between you and your chosen supplier throughout the job lifecycle.
- Payment coordination — once you approve a quote, we issue supplier payment instructions so you can pay the deposit directly to the supplier.
We do not carry out mechanical work, supply parts, or employ technicians. All physical work is performed by independent suppliers who are separately contracted with you.
3. The Quote Process
When you submit a quote request:
- We review your job details and route them to one or more suitable suppliers.
- Suppliers review your enquiry and may contact us or you directly for further information before quoting.
- Quotes are presented to you for review. You are under no obligation to accept any quote.
- If you approve a quote, you will receive payment instructions directly from the supplier (or from us on their behalf) for the required deposit.
- No work will begin until the agreed deposit has been received by the supplier.
Quotes are provided in good faith based on the information you supply. If the actual condition of the vehicle or component differs materially from what was described, the supplier reserves the right to revise the quote before proceeding.
4. Payment
All payments for mechanical work are made directly to the supplier, not to Apexx Engines. Apexx Engines does not handle, collect, or hold customer payments unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Typical deposit requirements are as follows, though individual suppliers may vary:
- Quotes over £1,500 — a deposit of approximately 25% of the quoted amount is typically required before work begins.
- Quotes under £1,500 — a deposit equivalent to the cost of parts, or up to 50% of the quoted amount, is typically required.
The balance of payment is due directly to the supplier on completion of the work, unless otherwise agreed in writing with that supplier.
Apexx Engines is not responsible for payments made to suppliers and does not guarantee refunds or deposits paid to suppliers. Any disputes regarding payment must be resolved between you and the supplier directly, though we will assist in facilitating resolution where possible.
5. Cancellations & Refunds
If you wish to cancel after approving a quote and paying a deposit to a supplier:
- Your right to a refund is governed by the terms of the individual supplier, not by Apexx Engines.
- Where parts have been ordered or preliminary work has commenced, the supplier may be entitled to retain part or all of the deposit to cover costs already incurred.
- We strongly recommend confirming the supplier’s cancellation and refund policy before approving a quote.
Apexx Engines does not charge customers directly and therefore does not issue refunds to customers. If you believe a supplier has acted unfairly, please contact us and we will endeavour to assist.
6. Your Obligations
By using our services you confirm that:
- You own the vehicle or component in question, or have the legal authority of the owner to arrange work on it.
- The information you provide about the vehicle — including its condition, registration, mileage, and fault description — is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
- You understand that inaccurate information may result in an incorrect quote and could affect the cost or scope of work once the supplier has inspected the vehicle.
- You will respond to communications from Apexx Engines and the supplier in a timely manner to avoid unnecessary delays to your job.
- You are aged 18 or over.
7. Supplier Responsibility
The supplier you engage through Apexx Engines is responsible for:
- The quality and standard of all mechanical work carried out.
- All parts supplied, including their specification, quality, and fitness for purpose.
- Compliance with all relevant legislation, trade standards, and consumer rights obligations applicable to the work performed.
- Honouring the warranty terms they have agreed to provide with the job.
- Their own insurance — all suppliers in our network are required to hold appropriate public liability insurance.
Apexx Engines vets suppliers before admitting them to our network and monitors performance where possible. However, we cannot guarantee the outcome of any individual job and accept no liability for defective work, delays, or disputes between you and a supplier.
8. Warranty
Warranty terms are set by the individual supplier and will be confirmed in the quote. Typical warranties in the engine reconditioning sector cover a defined period (commonly 6–24 months) and mileage limit from the date of installation.
Warranties are provided by the supplier directly. Apexx Engines is not the warranty provider. If you experience a fault that you believe is covered by warranty:
- Contact us as soon as possible — we will liaise with the supplier on your behalf.
- Do not authorise any further repair work on the affected component without the supplier’s agreement, as doing so may invalidate the warranty.
- Retain all documentation including the original quote, any invoices, and communications.
Warranties do not typically cover faults caused by improper installation, failure to follow the supplier’s post-installation instructions, misuse, or damage caused by other failed components (such as a failed oil pump causing bearing damage to a newly rebuilt engine).
9. Liability
Apexx Engines acts solely as an introducer and facilitator. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for the quality, safety, or fitness for purpose of any work carried out by a supplier.
- We are not liable for any loss, damage, or expense arising from delays, cancellations, or disputes involving a supplier.
- We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic loss including but not limited to loss of use of a vehicle, loss of earnings, or costs of alternative transport.
- Our total liability to you in connection with the use of our platform and services is limited to £100, or the amount of any fee paid directly to Apexx Engines (if applicable), whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Complaints
We take complaints seriously. If you are unhappy with any aspect of our service or with a supplier introduced through us, please follow the steps below:
- Step 1 — Contact us in the first instance by emailing info@apexxengines.co.uk with full details of your complaint. We aim to acknowledge all complaints within 2 working days and provide a substantive response within 10 working days.
- Step 2 — If your complaint relates to a supplier, we will raise it formally with them on your behalf and work to facilitate a resolution.
- Step 3 — If the matter cannot be resolved between the parties, you retain the right to pursue the supplier through the courts or relevant consumer dispute resolution scheme applicable to the work carried out.
Apexx Engines is not an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) provider and cannot make binding decisions against suppliers. However, suppliers who repeatedly fail to resolve customer complaints may be suspended or removed from our network.
11. Data Protection & Privacy
Apexx Engines is committed to protecting your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
When you submit a quote request we collect and use your personal data (name, contact details, vehicle information, and location) for the following purposes:
- Matching your job to suitable suppliers within our network.
- Sharing your details with those suppliers solely for the purpose of providing you with a quote or carrying out agreed work.
- Communicating with you throughout the quote and job process.
- Improving our service and maintaining records as required by law.
We will not sell your data to third parties or use it for unsolicited marketing without your consent. For full details of how we collect, store, and process your data — including your rights — please refer to our Privacy Policy at apexxengines.co.uk/privacy-policy.

The current version will always be available at apexxengines.co.uk/terms-conditions. Where changes are material, we will notify existing customers by email where possible.
