Apexx Engines Warranty Structure

1. Warranty Duration

The warranty duration is determined by the vehicle’s age and mileage. The standard warranty offers coverage for a specified time or mileage, whichever comes first. Extended warranties are available for an additional fee, based on specific criteria.

Note: “Mileage Covered” refers to the maximum mileage during the warranty period, meaning the warranty expires either when the specified timeframe is reached or the mileage limit is exceeded, whichever comes first. “Applicable Mileage Range” defines the vehicle’s current mileage eligibility for the corresponding warranty duration. Extended warranties are available regardless of the vehicle’s mileage, provided certain conditions and fees are met.

2. Coverage Details

The warranty covers:

  • Defects or faults with materials used in the manufacturing or repair of your engine, provided these materials are new and supplied by Apexx Engines.
  • Defects in workmanship, ensuring that the service quality meets industry standards.
  • Specific components as agreed upon in the service details.
  • Coverage includes the engine block, cylinder head, and all internal components. However, components such as the diesel pump, water pump, and timing components are excluded from this warranty.
  • If any mechanical fault occurs in the unit supplied, it is covered under the warranty.

3. Exclusions

The warranty will be voided if:

  • Any third-party work is performed on the engine after our service.
  • The vehicle has been used for record attempts, street racing, or any competitions, other than private or commercial use.
  • The vehicle has been damaged by wear and tear, subsequent accidents, neglect, or failure to maintain in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • Damage or failures arise from negligence, modifications, or misuse of the vehicle.
  • Electrical issues, including parts and components related to the vehicle’s electrical system, are excluded.
  • Normal wear and tear, as well as routine maintenance, are not covered.
  • Issues arise from second-hand or reconditioned parts. If a customer requests the use of such parts, they do so at their own risk.
  • High-performance aftermarket parts will void the warranty.
  • The vehicle must be used on public metalled roads; off-road use, racing, or towing beyond manufacturer recommendations voids the warranty.
  • We do not cover breakdowns caused by extreme overheating or dashboard warning lights (e.g., engine management, DPF, coolant, ABS, airbag lights).
  • Any damage resulting from collisions, misuse, or negligence is not covered.
  • Repairs necessitated by fair wear and tear are excluded.
  • If false or misleading information is provided or essential facts are withheld, the warranty will become void, and any paid amounts may be reclaimed by Apexx Engines.

4. Transferability

The warranty is non-transferable and applies solely to the original client. Warranty benefits cannot be assigned to subsequent owners or third parties.

5. Claim Process

To file a warranty claim, customers must:

  • Click the button or link provided at the bottom of this page.
  • Provide documentation and details about the issue for assessment.
  • Complete and return the claim form (submit via website).

Claims will be processed within 48 hours after submission. If an engine is returned to us after being removed by a third party, we are not liable for the cost of removal from the vehicle.

6. Limitations on Claims

Customers may be limited to:

  • A maximum of two claims per year.
  • Claims are restricted to the maximum value of the invoice charged. Labour charges or consequential losses are not the liability of Apexx Engines.

7. Renewal Options

Customers may be eligible to renew or extend their warranty after the initial term, which may require continued service from Apexx Engines.

8. Geographic Coverage

The warranty applies to all customers across the UK.

9. Warranty Activation

The warranty activates from the date of the final invoice, which is the date of completion of the service, not from the date of payment or pickup.

The warranty begins from the mileage stated in the final invoice.

10. Warranty Terms

10.1 Standard Warranty Duration

Apexx Engines offers a warranty on the services provided, as follows:

  • 6 months for vehicles no older than 5 years or with mileage below 80,000 miles.
  • 3 months for vehicles older than 5 years or with mileage exceeding 80,000 miles.

10.2 Coverage Details

This warranty covers:

  • Defects or faults in materials and workmanship.

10.3 Mandatory Service & Inspection

The client is required to return the engine for an inspection/check-up within 300–500 miles or 2 weeks, whichever arises first, following the completion of the work. Failure to comply may void the warranty.

Additionally, vehicles must return for an interim service and overall check after 1,000 miles to maintain warranty coverage.

10.4 Specific Exclusions

Issues arising from negligence, modifications, or misuse are not covered.

We do not accept liability for dashboard display issues such as engine management, DPF, coolant, ABS, or airbag lights.

10.5 Limitations on External Work

Components or services not provided by the provider are excluded from this warranty.

10.6 Electrical Exclusions

The warranty does not cover any electrical issues or components not directly related to the services provided.

10.7 Manufacturer’s Warranty and Second-Hand Parts

Apexx Engines is not liable for enforcing any manufacturer warranties.

Warranty claims will only be considered for new parts supplied by Apexx Engines.

10.8 Non-Transferability

The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original client.

10.9 Warranty Scope

Warranties include only components directly associated with the service undertaken by the provider. This includes coverage of the engine block and cylinder head assembly. However, it does not extend to any claims of consequential losses or rental vehicles.

11. Special Conditions

11.1 Additional Service Terms

If additional services are required, the client will be notified and may choose to proceed or not. Declining necessary services may result in no warranty for the performed work.

11.2 Vehicle Requirements

The vehicle must be roadworthy, taxed, and insured. All necessary parts must be ready, and the vehicle must be free of fluid contamination or debris.

11.3 Warranty Void Conditions

The warranty will not apply if:

  • The client fails to return for an initial service and inspection.
  • Neglect, modification, or misuse occurs.
  • The vehicle is damaged or used in an unauthorised way (e.g., racing, excessive towing).

11.4 Service Continuity

Clients are encouraged to retain regular service intervals, with documentation as proof. Failure to maintain proper records may affect future claims.
